Quiet linework, weathered surfaces, and the slow patience of ink settling into skin. Studies of impermanence — drawn one thin line at a time.
I've been tattooing for five years — most of it learning to do less. My work lives in the negative space; in the breath between lines; in the quiet imperfections a hand leaves that a machine never could. I draw from sumi-e, from worn stone, from old field journals, from the way ink behaves when it's allowed to settle.
California-based, but the work is northern — pulled from boreal forests, Iceland moss, the slow patience of cold latitudes. The studio happens to face the Pacific. The drawings rarely do.
Pieces are designed to age. Lines I draw today will soften with sun and time, and that is the point.

Tour dates are kept small — usually four to six pieces per city. If a date is closed, you're welcome to be added to the standby list; cancellations happen and I'll reach out in the order requests came in.
Booking with me is intentionally not instant. Each piece is drawn for a single person and that takes time — usually two to four weeks between first message and first needle. If you're looking for flash or fast turnaround, I'm not your artist, and I mean that with warmth.
I open books once per month, on the first Monday, for the following month's appointments. Tour cities open separately, six weeks ahead.
Tell me what you're drawn to and why. A reference image or two is fine, but I work best from feeling, not specs. Body placement, rough size, and any old work nearby that should be considered.
Within seven days you'll hear back — yes, no, or a quiet conversation. If we're a fit, I'll suggest a date from open books and ask for the deposit. If we're not, I'll say so plainly and point you toward an artist who is.
I don't send digital mockups in advance. The design will be on paper when you arrive. We'll sit with it together, adjust if needed, and only begin when it feels right to both of us.
Allow a full afternoon. Eat first. Bring water, a sweater, and a book if you'd like quiet. Aftercare instructions are written (printed, not emailed) and we follow up in two weeks.
